Cryocycle
What is a cryocycle?
The use of frozen (vitrified) embryos for embryo transfer is called a cryocycle. In such a treatment cycle, superovulation is not stimulated, but the endometrium is prepared (in the natural cycle) with its own ovulation.
The effectiveness of pregnancy is not lower than when using fresh embryos.
Embryo freezing process
Vitrification is a type of embryo freezing, which consists of stopping all biological processes in cells by freezing and further storing them at low temperatures, and guarantees a very high level of cell viability.
The essence of vitrification is the use of high concentrations of a cryoprotectant, due to which it is possible to avoid the formation of ice crystals – the main cause of intracellular damage that accompanied the previous method of freezing embryos. The procedure is carried out at the stage of 5-7 days of embryo maturation (blastocyst stage). When a favorable period for implantation comes, it is thawed and transferred to the body of the expectant mother.
Indications
The risks of hyperstimulation;
After an unsuccessful IVF attempt;
The need for genetic diagnosis by the NGS method followed by cryotransfer;
If a married couple, planning their first IVF, already has plans for a second and third child;
The need to cryopreservate embryos before treatment, which may reduce fertility function (oncopathology, autoimmune diseases, etc.).
Treatment stages
Survey before the start of the program
Your doctor may suggest passing certain tests to optimize preparation for pregnancy. If patients come to the clinic with fresh results of all necessary examinations, this stage of the IVF program may be reduced or excluded.
Preparing the endometrium for implantation
After the ultrasound examination, the patient is prescribed the optimal protocol of endometrial preparation (hormonal stimulation or natural cycle) to achieve ideal endometrial receptivity.
Embryo transfer
On a certain day, the vitrified embryo is thawed and transferred to the uterine cavity. This procedure is painless and takes a few minutes.
Pregnancy test
After the embryo transfer procedure, the patient continues to take the prescribed medication for 12-14 days right till the pregnancy test (HCG)
Pregnancy monitoring
In case of a positive test, the doctor confirms the pregnancy by ultrasound examination and the patient registers for pregnancy observation.

The advantages of the cryocycle
A significant reduction in the risk of developing a severe IVF complication - ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. As a result of ovulation stimulation, a large number of eggs are usually obtained, which are fertilized, and the resulting embryos are frozen. This makes it possible to carry out a cryocycle after 1-2 cycles with an efficiency equal to the transfer in the "fresh" cycle.
Reducing the financial costs of patients in cases where the first IVF attempt was unsuccessful - the cryocycle avoids re-stimulation of ovulation and the use of expensive drugs for this.
The cryocycle allows patients with a low ovarian reserve to accumulate embryos, as well as save eggs in cases where, for personal reasons, a woman does not plan a pregnancy in the coming years.

ISIDA clinic has 25 years of experience in the treatment of infertility. The high efficiency of Assisted Reproductive Technologies methods used in the clinic is confirmed by statistical data:
Specialists of ISIDA clinic overcome infertility in 49% of cases in “fresh” cycles;
in 45% – in cycles with vitrified embryos;
in 62% – in cycles in which all the resulting embryos were frozen (freezeall)
(average combined values from all age groups are indicated).
We follow the latest protocols and recommendations, according to which it is optimal to use 1 embryo for frozen embryo transfer. The efficiency of the cryocycle using 1 embryo reaches 60%.
Why you should entrust your dream of having a baby to ISIDA clinic?
Experience
We have been helping families to have children whose birth would be impossible without the help of doctors since 1994.
Diagnostic base
We have our own molecular cytogenetic laboratory, which specializes in reproductive disorders and genetic diagnostics.
Complex approach
We carry out a thorough diagnosis and, if necessary, endoscopic preparation before the use of assisted reproductive technologies.
Efficiency
The success of treatment in our clinic is at the level up to 81,6%, which is confirmed by the annual international professional expertise.
