Today Ukraine is one of the world leaders in the market of providing medical services in the field of reproductive technologies. More than 25 years ago, the first child was born in Ukraine with the help of IVF, and since then, domestic reproductology has been developing at an impressive pace.
There are currently more than 40 ART (assisted reproductive technologies) clinics operating in Ukraine. This scale is due to the fact that there are no prohibitions in the field of reproduction in Ukraine, unlike in other countries. For this reason, infertile couples from all over the world come to us.
Ukrainian legislation is very loyal to many issues in the field of ART. First of all, this concerns egg donation, which is officially allowed in our country. In addition, Ukrainian ART clinics have the right to carry out ovulation stimulation (drug stimulation of the development of a large number of eggs instead of one), which helps to achieve the growth of 15-20 follicles, get 8-10 eggs from them and transfer one or more high-quality selected embryos necessary to achieve pregnancy. It is also interesting that there is no age limit for IVF in Ukraine, so many foreign couples of mature age have the opportunity to realize their dream of having a child here. Although in the capital’s ISIDA clinic, based on medical and moral and ethical standards, age restrictions are set – IVF is carried out for patients no older than 51.
