Now I know for sure: dreams come true!

Elena and her husband came to ISIDA from Odessa to pick up their daughter Sofia. Neither eight years of unsuccessful treatment, nor unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization (IVF) could dissuade the spouses that they would have a child. By all means!

Elena, when did you first think about the baby, and how did it happen that you had to go such a long way?

My husband and I met when we were 23. And after about six months, they began to think about the kids. Time passed, and nothing worked out for us. A huge number of tests were passed, many specialists were passed. And how many pills were eaten, injections were made and time was lost! We went to the reproductive clinic in Odessa, as if for work. The strangest thing is that according to the results of the tests, both my husband and I were fine, and pregnancy did not occur. However, the doctor talked about minor problems with the endometrium (only now I understand how important it was!).

How did you find out about ISIDA – was this clinic recommended to you or did you study this issue yourself?

I once dreamed of having a baby before the age of 25, but only eventually realized that it was useless to schedule deadlines. After another failure, my husband and I decided that we would do IVF in Kiev – we only need to choose a clinic. It was then that ISIDA was discussed at an Odessa forum, and some girl said that she had applied to this clinic – and everything worked out for her.

I went to the ISIDA website and signed up for an initial consultation. A little later I found a lot of positive reviews and thanks on the Internet, which only reinforced my mood. If I had learned about ISIDA earlier, I think my child would have been in the fifth grade already.

What were your first impressions of ISIDA?

We liked ISIDA right away: pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff. There was no feeling that we came here to be treated – and this is very important. But the most important thing is that ISIDA employs real professionals! At the initial consultation, the doctor, having studied our huge folder with analyzes, told about possible solutions to our problem. And we decided to do IVF.

I am immensely grateful to Dr. Shiyanova! She is very attentive, I trusted her completely, knowing that everything would work out. And so it happened, however, on the second attempt. Svetlana Vladimirovna identified the cause of my problem (it turns out that the embryo could not attach due to endometriosis) and found a way to solve it.

At what stage did you have confidence that everything would be fine?

As soon as we crossed the threshold of ISIDA, I just felt that everything would work out for us – this is our clinic. Of course, we were worried after each procedure, but thank you very much to the staff who supported us – during the embryo transfer they hold our hand, calm us down, assure us that everything will be fine.

What advice can you give to women who are going through a path similar to yours.

The most important thing is not to give up! No way, under any circumstances. If it didn’t work out today, it will work out tomorrow! When we first arrived at ISIDA, I read the story of a couple in a magazine, they conceived a child a year after the first visit. I thought then that I would like that too! And exactly a year later, on December 30, I had a postponement, and on January 13 I found out that I was pregnant. Here’s a New Year’s miracle we got!

On September 16, our Sofia will be a year old, and now I know for sure that dreams come true! Trust your doctor and remember that professionals work at ISIDA, which means that very soon you will definitely hug your long-awaited baby. Or babies.
