The Congress on Contraversions in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility was held in London – the largest event that annually gathers the best doctors in the field of obstetrics and gynecology from around the world dealing with women’s health issues with an emphasis on fertility disorders and obstetric complications. The participants of the event make reports – a kind of reports of world science on achievements in the field of reproduction, as well as on problems that require new approaches and solutions. The ISIDA clinic was represented at this event by the head of the infertility treatment department, reproductive physician Svetlana Shiyanova and biologist Olga Guzik.
“The main reports at the opening of the conference were devoted to the impact of epigenetic factors, nutrition and overweight on pregnancy loss. And the communication of well–known researchers in the mode of contraversions was devoted to the modern global trend of “SOF – social oocyte freezing”, that is, the preservation of fertility (early freezing of eggs in case of postponing the birth of a child to a late reproductive age), – noted the chief physician of the Infertility Treatment Center, reproductologist Shiyanova Svetlana Vladimirovna. – A vivid presentation on this topic was a report from Norbert Gleicher, which focused on the abuse and lack of obvious expediency and advantages of such an approach.”.
Of particular interest among the participants of the event were the unsurpassed, accessible and very important reports of the meter and the founder of The Fetal Medicine Foundation, the main school of prenatal diagnostics, Kypros H.Nicolaides, in which he described the benefits of prenatal screening of pregnancies after IVF. The presented evidence that carrying a pregnancy after IVF has 40% higher risks for the mother and fetus compared to natural fertilization has become the reason for numerous discussions. Experts have come to the conclusion that doctors specializing in monitoring pregnancy after artificial insemination are obliged to pay special attention to such patients and use an individual approach in their treatment.
Attending this event allowed the doctors of the ISIDA clinic to track modern diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, from the stage of embryology to the postpartum period. “Participation in events like the London International Congress on Contraversions in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility is a great opportunity to improve your professional level, as well as to meet and communicate with colleagues in an informal atmosphere, share experiences and be inspired”, – Olga Guzik, a biologist at the ISIDA Clinic, commented on her participation in the congress.
