This congress annually gathers the best doctors in the world in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. The reports of its participants are a kind of report of world science on achievements in the field of reproduction, as well as on problems that require new approaches and solutions.
Infertility is a challenge of modernity
Two of the four parallel sessions held within the framework of the Congress were devoted to infertility problems. This is one of the most acute problems facing many developed countries of the world, including Ukraine. According to statistics, every fifth family in Ukraine has difficulty conceiving a child. Therefore, the conversation about what modern science can offer to families dreaming of a child is more than relevant. At the opening ceremony of the Congress, reports were presented on the feasibility of extended genetic screening for all couples planning pregnancy.
A look into the future
At the Congress, a report was made on the need to gradually introduce the practice of mandatory cryopreservation of their own eggs to all girls under 30 years of age. One of the trends of our time is the postponement of pregnancy by a woman to a later age. However, the desire to make a career and thus provide a stable future for the child often becomes the cause of infertility, because with age, the ability of an egg to fertilize is noticeably reduced. One of the ways to solve this problem is cryopreservation of own eggs.
IVF – happiness under “supervision”
The procedure of in vitro fertilization has been successfully practiced in the ISIDA clinic since its foundation. Despite the vast and successful experience in this field, the clinic is constantly on course to introduce advanced reproductive technologies. Participation in Congresses like the one held in Amsterdam is one of the ways to introduce the achievements of world medicine into practice. In particular, quality control of procedures in the laboratory of embryology and achievements of preimplantation genetic diagnostics.
Keeping up with the times
At the ISIDA clinic, in the first steps of its activity, a constant course is maintained for the professional improvement of its doctors. The clinic’s doctors attend local and foreign conferences, take courses, and train abroad. This is one of the most important investments of the clinic not only in its future, but also in the future of individual families in need of highly professional medical care.
