ISIDA participated in the annual World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility in London
The annual World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility was held in London on November 23-25 - the largest event that brings together the best doctors in the field of obstetrics and gynecology dealing with women’s health issues with an emphasis on fertility disorders and obstetric complications. The participants of the event made reports on the achievements of world science in the field of reproduction, as well as on problems that require new approaches and solutions. At this event, the Chief Doctor of Infertility Treatment Center, fertility specialist Svetlana Shiyanova and biologist Olga Guzik represented ISIDA clinic.
«The main reports at the opening of the conference were devoted to the effects of epigenetic factors, nutrition and excess weight on the possibility of pregnancy loss. Moreover, the communication of well-known researchers in the contra-version mode was devoted to the modern world trend of “SOF - social oocyte freezing”, that is, preservation of fertility (early freezing of oocytes in case of postponement of the birth of a child for a later reproductive age), - shared Chief Doctor of Infertility Treatment Center Svetlana Shiyanova. - The report made by Norbert Gleicher had a vivid statement on this topic, emphasizing the lack of obvious expediency and advantages of this approach».
Unsurpassed, perceptive and very important reports by Kypros H.Nicolaides - Meter and the founder of The Fetal Medicine Foundation, the main school of prenatal diagnosis - were of particular interest among the participants of the event in which he described the benefits of prenatal screening for pregnancies after IVF. Provided evidences that pregnancy after IVF has 40% higher risks for the mother and fetus compared to natural fertilization, have led to many discussions. Experts concluded that doctors, who supervise pregnancies after artificial insemination, are obliged to pay special attention to such patients and use an individual approach in their treatment.
Attending this event allowed ISIDA clinic doctors to find out about modern diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, from the stage of embryology to the postpartum period. «Participation in events like the London World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility is a great opportunity to enhance your professional level and a chance to meet and chat with colleagues, share experiences and get inspired in an informal atmosphere», - commented her participation in the congress ISIDA clinic biologist Olga Guzik.
